Usually I am pretty lenient about people labeling themselves as nerds. Hey, if you feel like a nerd, then, good for you and welcome to the club! However, I have a short list of things that do not, in my opinion, on their own make you a nerd:

1. Taking math/science classes that are required gen ed at your community college
2. Wearing glasses
3. Liking a few Neil deGrasse Tyson quotes and then thinking you are an expert on science
